toni...

fine to put it online... that is what we are about, yes?

your perspective is really quite interesting! i had no idea, for example,
that u.s. domains were banned from irc, or that most of the chat is local.
i have a godson who lives in maine (a fairly rural state in the
northeastern u.s.) who is 15... he spends a lot of time on the computer,
chatting and playing interactive games. i may be bringing him to the
conference with me. i will ask him if most of his chat is with local kids
or elsewhere. i know that he has one friend in california (clear across
the u.s.) with whom he chats a great deal.

the story about the young girl is interesting too. are most of her net
friends male or female, or does it matter? does she get hassled online
because she is female?

anyway, i will take a look at what is on the web and get back to you with
other comments.

best,
laura
