and the third. plus bloated fourth. Fifth was a good one!
Today I came to the university to work. Strictly. After having a good night sleep and beautifully late morning and breakfast-picnic in the Vondelpark with flatmates. We also met some people from Oulu there, just accidentally! Felt good, a bit non-work-like though.
Yesterday had been full of things. Even though it started late as well so many things could happen that I was amazed, once again, about this wonderful city. First there was new media and people, then a shirt break and biking around and eating delicious Falafel and visiting friends' streats and going to theatre which was, as a tele/cyber-thing, work but good. After all the time I've spent there is this visitor in me.
Now is mostly getting the things out of me and the bag I carry around. Sharing in big scales. It's demanding but tomorrow is full of hope. Now we fly to rest.
I also bought the most beautiful laptop - it's nothing you can think of!
an.org is now organ!
Got bored of the ugly computer lab and came down here to the biopeople again. Am looking cellular biology stuff and other funny things on the net. A friend from Finland is at the CMU in the States and would like to build a graphical cell simulation. There are really nice pictures there, like http://lenti.med.umn.edu/~mwd/cell_www/chapter1/cell_chapter1.html and my main source http://esg-www.mit.edu:8001/esgbio/cb/cellbasics.html
<[email protected]> What about cell simulators... I need to make
an animation of
an/t> The cell is the fundamental unit of life. The cell theory, put forth
in the
middle of the 19th century, states that:
an/t> 1.Cells are the fundamental units of life, because a cell is the
simplest unit capable of independent existence.
an/t> 2.All living things are made of cells.
an/t> oikeaa hommaa teet!
I find all this really beautiful! (and real?)
Like org-an-elles, http://esg-www.mit.edu:8001/esgbio/cb/org/organelles.html
I did some searches as one thing, namely kids of two male parents, if that would be possible - what if they would have XX as the sex genes? Would they be female? I guess so. Weird. And terrible thinking. Actually I asked an expert friend about this already.
The emptiness of "soc" in "bio" is st riking. Like I did rich searches with words "sex" and "life" and got a lot but all that the thing knows of "soc" is:
soc
Pages which contain `soc':
7.01 Genetics Meets "The Real World"
social issues involved in this particular
case for Anne and her parents?
which leaves the question unanswered. Although in some other places "social biology" seems to lead to interesting things, I had no idea that it's almost like a synonym for "racism". That, on the other hand, reminded me of "specism" that was bugging the other day .. and seems to be really funny! Like http://www.newscientist.com/nsplus/insight/animal/insect.html
And finally some religious Krishna techno-babble. Oh my.

I think I wanna be me. Also my body. Bye.
