Hi!

Came to Tornio with my girlfriend to see John Hopkins and the re-lab ppl
that are organizing a net.radio event here ght, you probably know it,
http://project.llaky.fi/kurssi/netradio/ is the address.

Was in Sweden to meet some ppl earlier today and came with a new theme:
Finland vs. Sweden! That's the most essential issue in especially Oulu
area etc.

I also have an-idea how to make an-exciting and strong video about that,
using footage of archived fist fights between the Finns and Swedes in
World Chapnionship icehockey matches combined with an-audio track
explaining how Nokia beats Ericsson, Sonera beats Telia etc. .. perhaps we
even find out who shot Olof Palme in the end. Both Nokia and Sonera
sponsor Kiasma so it's be great to do ;)

The invitation to this meeting in Sweden came from a friend who teaches
and produces videos in Oulu (technopolis, Eu region 1) and lives in Ii
(micropolis, EU redion 6) but also has a small funny in Hungary and spends
a lot of time in the east. He read your proposals with great interest and
understood it all very well and can find people to work on the themes and
come up with new ones. He's a bridge builder, Sillanrakentaja.

We'll meet again on Monday in Oulu with him and the Swedes. Now Party :)

Oh, BTW: Terhi told me, that you wanted magazines, papers etc. that would
open the mental state of this country .. philosophy etc. There are several
good magazines, but most of them are in Finnish, like the Niin&Näin that I
just read in the library (there was about artificial intelligence,
cognitive science, psychology, technology and humanity that are major
issues and that I'm also working on for the Kiasma event). BUT in the Kuva
magazine (would translate as Image, but there's also another mag. called
that) there was a big article on the Kiasma itself and also an english
summary titled Kiasma in Comparison, that was actually very critical ..
about Kiasma .. how it is like an-y/old art.institution and nothing what
an-modern (post-? or whatever) art (?) should be. Might be worth checking
out.

Let's be in touch,
hope to weather is
as fine there as
it has been in here
.. :)
